Ginaury Vasquez

Theater Instructor

Ginaury Vásquez is an Afro-Dominican artist from the Bronx, known for her work as an actor, singer-songwriter, performer, and artistic educator. She has appeared in numerous stage productions, including In the Heights at Lehman College, County Cavity with Art Defined Productions, and Price of Silence with the POS Theatre Dance Company, as well as the Off-Off Broadway play What If, and Día de los Muertos. Gina has also written and recorded her own music, recently releasing an EP titled "New Phone, Who Dis?" Her experience as a theatrical lighting technician led to her introduction to New Beginnings, where she began working in 2012. A graduate of CUNY Lehman College, she earned her B.A. in Theatre and Psychology, graduating Summa Cum Laude with departmental honors.

As a teaching artist, she has been able to share her love and knowledge of the art of Theatre with NYC youth, through the arts education programs, "College Now," "Project Dreamyard," and "Bronx Arts Ensemble," and now New Beginnings Performing Arts Studio.
