APRENDE MÁS Davis Matthews Davis Matthews, born in Chicago, and now from New Rochelle, New York, is an incredible performer with a warm spirit and boundless energy! In 2023, Davis made his Broadway debut as Young Simba in Disney’s The Lion King, performing over 100 shows during his six-month run. In the spring of 2024, Davis debuted as Hakeem in the world premiere of Tituss Burgess’ The Preacher's Wife the Musical, directed by Tony Award winner Michael Arden and Tinashe Bolden. In this production, he shared the stage with award-winning actress Amber Riley and the legendary Loretta Devine. Davis credits his talents to God and his theatrical training from his mom, Tabitha Faith, an actress/director/playwright and spoken word artist, who also taught at extraordinary New Beginnings Center for the Performing Arts. Aria Nobles Aria Nobles, a proud native of Mount Vernon, New York, is a passionate and driven performer whose talent and dedication have set her on an extraordinary path. Beginning her dance journey at New Beginnings Performing Arts Studio at the age of four, Aria honed her craft for over a decade, fueled by the mentorship and support she received. In 2024, she took center stage with Project Performing Arts for Harlem Day and wowed audiences with her choreography and performance at Disney World that same year. Now a senior Musical Theatre major, Aria is choreographing her department's highly anticipated Senior Showcase set for December 2024. Her family remains her greatest source of inspiration, motivating her to reach new heights in every performance.

Terms & Conditions InVision U, Inc. & New Beginnings Performing Arts Center Welcome to InVision U, Inc. and New Beginnings Performing Arts Center (NBPAC). By accessing or using our programs, facilities, website, or services, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you should not use our services. Can I purchase one package and use them for multiple children? Our enrollment for the school and open classes are for individuals. Parents/Guardians who wish to enroll their child(ren) in our school and/or open class, will need to make the purchase for each individual child. All payments made for classes are associated with one individual and can not be shared. Are auditions required to join the school? Currently, auditions are required for our school in New Rochelle. No auditions are required for open classes in our Harlem location. What holidays and closures does New Beginnings Performing Arts/Invision U follow throughout the year? We follow the New Rochelle Public School closings. The academic calendar can be found here. When are classes offered? We offer classes from September through June. Currently our New Rochelle location offers classes Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday. Our Harlem location only offers classes Tuesdays and Fridays. Please refer to our schedule to see the classes offered for the age group you are interested in enrolling in the school and/or open classes. Can I observe the class before I join? We offer two introductory classes to support you in making your decision on whether to enroll in the school or any additional open classes. All clients signed up to attend a class must participate. What age groups are allowed to participate in New Beginnings/Invision U? We have classes offered from the age of 3 & Up. All ages from 3 and on are able to enroll in designated classes. Please refer to our schedule to see the classes offered for your age group. What is the difference between New Beginnings Center for the Performing Arts and Invision U? InVision U, Inc is a New York State based 501(c)(3) non-profit organization with a mission to provide charitable, developmental services to the youth and adults in New York, Westchester County, and Atlanta primarily in the form of dance, health & wellness and career development programs. We are a community and faith-based organization, birthed by the desire to bridge the gap between the standard education system and a deep community need for greater performing arts and cultural education. InVision U currently supports New Beginnings Center for the Performing Arts, our for-profit, committed to exposing adolescents and young adults to life experiences through the performing arts. Where is New Beginnings Performing Arts located? Our school and open classes is located at 2 Division St, Suite #301 New Rochelle, NY 10801. What is the difference between the school and open classes? Our school located in New Rochelle is tuition based, with monthly payment plans offered, providing access to classes for the full year to all from ages 3 & up. Open classes allow our clients to engage FAQs are a great way to help site visitors find quick answers to common questions about your business and create a better navigation experience. Can I perform at events for New Beginnings or at recitals if I am in open classes? For our recitals, both students in the school and open classes can perform, however our June production only includes students enrolled in our school. If I miss my class at my designated location, can I take classes at another location? You are able to use your class cards at either of our locations if the class is not fully booked. Please kindly book yourself in the class or call us to confirm you are signed up for the class. Do you have parking? We do not have a dedicated parking garage. However, there is a parking garage across the street, and street parking. Our Executive Director MsJay Academic Excellence & Passion for Teaching A Foundation in Education and Mathematics Kyra "MsJay" Johnson, a native of Freeport, Long Island, discovered her passion for teaching and mathematics early, graduating Summa Cum Laude from Marymount College of Fordham University with dual degrees, followed by an MSed in Mathematics from Iona College of New Rochelle. After six years as a successful educator, she was irresistibly drawn back to her first love—the performing arts, having trained at elite institutions like The Dance Theatre of Harlem and Alvin Ailey. This transition from classroom to stage cemented her legacy as a trailblazer, bridging education and the arts to leave a lasting impact on both fields. A Life on Stage: Dance & Theater A Performer from the Start MsJay’s elite dance training began at just six years old, honing her craft at renowned institutions like The Dance Theatre of Harlem, Alvin Ailey, Joffrey Ballet, and Steps on Broadway, and by age 10, she was invited to study with the Dance Theatre of Harlem Dance Company as a pre-professional. She further expanded her talents into theater at 13, performing in off-Broadway plays such as The American Dream and Meeting in the Ladies Room. MsJay's artistry transcended borders, with a role in the 2009 film Step Up 3D and international tours to Barbados, Jamaica, Canada, and Trinidad, sharing her passion on stages worldwide. Founding New Beginnings Center for the Performing Arts Turning Passion into Legacy In 2009, MsJay founded New Beginnings Center for the Performing Arts, LLC in New Rochelle, NY, merging her passion for dance and teaching to offer transformative experiences for young performers. The center quickly became a community cornerstone, participating in events like Memorial Day Celebrations, Arts and Dance Festivals, and performances for the mayor and other public officials, while also conducting workshops to raise awareness for causes like breast cancer. Under her leadership, the school expanded across New York City, with residencies in New Rochelle, Queens, Yonkers, Brooklyn, the Bronx, and Manhattan, impacting countless lives through the performing arts. Mentorship & Community Impact Empowering Future Generations MsJay was honored with the Women of Excellence Award by the New Rochelle Chamber of Commerce for her contributions to the community. She developed mentorship programs and work-study partnerships with local colleges, providing hands-on experience for aspiring dancers, while her D.I.P. (Dancing in Pumps) workshops in New York and Atlanta empower women to build confidence in their movement. Through her dedication to addressing societal issues like childhood obesity and mentoring future generations, MsJay has cemented her legacy as a transformative figure in the performing arts and her community.
